sandeep singh tax attorneySandeep is a former litigator for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Office of Chief Counsel, and holds an advanced degree (LL.M.) in taxation. As a Chief Counsel attorney for the IRS, Sandeep analyzed legal arguments advanced by taxpayers and their counsel in disputes with the IRS, determined the strengths and weaknesses for the government’s case, crafted litigation strategies, coordinated complicated legal matters with the IRS’ National Office in Washington D.C., and tried cases on behalf of the IRS. Sandeep‘s powerful representation resulted in numerous settlements with taxpayers and opposing counsel without the need of a trial, as well as many successful trials.

In his extended experience as a tax attorney, Sandeep represented clients in a variety of matters, including IRS audits, IRS criminal investigations, IRS collection enforcement, and tax litigation in Federal District Courts as well as the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Sandeep’s ability to resolve matters for his clients stems from not only his tax law knowledge but also his broad base of litigation experience. This includes representation of clients in trust & estate, commercial, and real estate litigation, as well as service to judges in state circuit and federal district courts.

Sandeep graduated the top of his class at the University of Maryland School of Law. He is multifaceted as a decorated veteran of the United States Army and multilingual in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu. Sandeep served in the United States Army for five years, where he led a platoon of Infantry Paratroopers. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Golden Gate University School of Taxation, where he teaches a graduate course in tax law. He also utilizes his passion for law in his local community, appointed by the city counsel of Concord to serve as the chairman of the Residential Rent Review Board.
